Newborn Portraits

Nothing is sweeter than a new baby. From their little yawns, tiny toes and sleepy grins.  The first year of your new baby's life is so precious.  The sleepless nights seem like an eternity but they are here and gone before you know it.  A newborn portrait session will freeze these first moments for a lifetime.  

 

My newborn portrait sessions are all inclusive.  We don't want big sis or big brother to feel left out when their everyday just changed for the better!  So bring grandma and grandpa, big sis and big brother, along and get a portrait to last a lifetime!

 

When you arrive at the studio, this is your time to relax and let me do what I do best.  Capture these moments! 

 

I provide everything needed for baby, so you don't need to worry about what to dress him or her in!  It's that easy!  I just ask you to follow my newborn prep guidelines to the best that you can so the session can run smoothly!

When is best to book my newborn portrait session:

Once you are in your second trimester, it is best to reach out and get a temporary date on my calendar.  There is a non-refundable retainer to reserve a date, but I only do a certain number of newborn sessions each month, so as soon as you are ready to book, reach out!  My schedule is designed for the early birds or the late comers, so don't worry about 'what if my baby comes early'.

At how many days after birth should we do the session:

My preference is 10 days young BUT please don't worry if we miss this time frame!  The session is best done within the first 7-14 days after birth but sometimes life happens.  There is no magic day!

What if my husband has to go back to work before our session or my older children have school?

Don't worry!  I have solutions for these scenarios.  I do prefer to do all newborn sessions on weekday mornings, but I understand sometimes there are conflicts.  There are two options available.  I do offer weekend* sessions or we can split the session into two.  You can bring baby during the weekday at the original time decided and then come back in the evening or a weekend for the family/sibling photos!

How many images are included in my session:

I don't set a certain number of images due to the fact that every baby is different.  Plus you may have other children or this may be your first baby.  On average I deliver 40-50 unique images.

Do prints come with my session:

All sessions are digital, which means, you receive a digital download via a password protected gallery.  You can print and share your images however you like.  I realize life is busy, so if you would like to order prints directly from your gallery, you can!  It's that simple.  They will come directly to your house.   Just remember, there is no obligation to order prints from me.  If you choose to order on your own, I can provide reccomendations of my favorite places to order from.
